Sample Forms: Motion to Appoint State Court Receiver | Bankruptcy Motion to Transfer Venue | Motion to Appoint Chapter 11 Trustee

Congratulations to my law partner, Mike Prieto, for obtaining a $2,000,000 jury verdict against the manger of a Rockmart, Georgia, nursing home.  The Defendant, Subacute Services, Inc., was held responsible for the wrongful death of Ruby Mae Tyler.

Now it’s time to collect.

When Prieto discovered that the Defendant was packing-up its office, he filed a Motion to Appoint Receiver to take control of the day-to-day operations and assets Subacute Services, Inc.

At the eleventh-hour, Subacute Services, Inc., filed a chapter 11 bankruptcy petition in the Southern District of Florida.

Here’s the Motion to Transfer Venue that I filed (after being admitted pro hac vice) in the Southern District of Florida.

The motion was granted, upheld on appeal, and the case was eventually transferred to the Northern District of Georgia.

Today, I have filed a Motion for Appointment of Chapter 11 Trustee.

Stay tuned!
