Does filing bankruptcy mean I can’t get a loan for a car or a home?
Posted by northgabankruptcy
During the bankruptcy period, does that preclude me from buying a house or a car?
No, not at all. Lenders know that you’re not likely to run out and file another bankruptcy and they know you don’t have a whole lot of debt. So, you are actually a good candidate for another loan. Right after bankruptcy is done, you’re going to qualify for a car loan. You gotta shop around and make sure you’re getting the best interest rate out there, but you can get a car loan. If you want a house, it may take you two years before you get back in those great interest rates again, but give it two years and you may be eligible for FHA financing at conventional rates.
